It's Been Awhile...

So, it's been a bit over a month now. Don't know what's been keeping us so busy...

Livi just says and does the funniest things. A couple weeks ago she and Daddy and Zach were playing in the toy room while I was in the kitchen cleaning up. All of a sudden Livi comes running into the kitchen on a mission. She's looking for something, but I'm having a hard time understanding "ductayfomouf." So she's searching through our tool/junk drawer, obviously not finding what ever it is. So I ask her again what she's looking for. Finally, after about 5 times of her repeating it, I figure it out: "duck tape for mouth." Hmmm... Clearly, she's heard somebody (Daddy) tell her (in a not so nice way) that she's talking too much, and her, being 4 years old, took it literally. It was kind of funny, though. Poor kid, at least she didn't understand what he meant.

Zach is continuing to be busy, but he's just growing up so fast! He is starting another speech therapy program next week, and we're hoping that will help him along a bit. Right now, he says only a few things, about 10 words maybe. He doesn't say mama; Daddy and me are both called dada. Ungrateful little... LOL. He's really liking reading Thomas the Train books and playing with Daddy - at least when he's taking a break from playing with his toy cars, which remain his absolute favorites!

Maddie has had a big month! She can now roll from her tummy to her back, but not the other way yet (although she's so close!). And a couple days later she cut her first tooth! So it's official: our kids are just getting too old too fast; they're just not babies anymore. It's bittersweet really.
